Software synths are great, but sometimes you want the joy that only a hardware synth can offer. The PL2 is a fun and inexpensive synth!
The PL2 generates an enormous variety of sounds with the help of two square wave (pulse) oscillators which can be interconnected in variable and innovative ways - these are fun to experiment with. Not only the classic waveforms such as saw-, sine- or pulse-waves will be simulated, rather newly and interesting sounds - from warm to destructive - are also generated.
The PL2 receives its data always via MIDI channel 1 and all setting parameters can be edited by MIDI controller commandos. Up to 32 of your own self-programmed sounds can be stored in the user memory area. In addition, further 32 factory sounds are located within a fixed memory area which provides ideal starting material to experiment with.
Generally the PL2 follows the principle of subtractive synthesis in which the waveform (generated by the oscillators) first runs through a wide range adjustable digital filter stage (low- high- and band-pass) to edit the frequency spectrum and/or amplify the resonance area if desired. After the digital filter an additional analog low-pass filter follows which particularly ensures the necessary warmth especially for destructive- and digital-like sounds.

Engineered for meticulous reproduction of even the most complex modern music, Akai Professional’s RPM800 studio monitors easily handle layer after layer of sound, providing critical detail and the tools needed to mix with confidence. The fast Kevlar cone provides lucid low-end agility, reproducing intricate bass patterns with ease. It’s authoritative sound for the craft of music production, only from Akai Professional.
Pure Bi-Amplified Power
RPM800 offers pure and accurate frequency response from 38Hz to 30kHz. The 120-Watt distributed Class A/B provides the woofer and tweeter dedicated amplification 80 Watts to the woofer, 40 Watts to the tweeter meaning you get ultra-efficient power and minimal distortion. The flared rear-firing bass port delivers low-frequency depth and definition.
Dedicated proximity and EQ-tailoring controls give you the ability to fine-tune the speaker in diverse mixing environments. RPM800 also features HF Trim, MF Boost, and LF Cut-off controls, which allow you to find the right balance in any environment. The included monitor isolation pad dramatically decreases structure-borne resonances, and the integrated radio frequency protection preserves signal purity. RPM800 includes XLR, balanced ¼-inch TRS, and RCA inputs.
Solid to the Core
RPM800’s cabinet is painstakingly reinforced to minimize flex, combating unwanted coloration while blocking anomalies and sound artifacts from polluting your mix. The no-compromise build quality is reflected even in components you’ll never see such as the recess-mounted amp, on/off transient protection, and 14-gauge wiring to transducers. RPM800 also features a built-in output current limiter, over-temperature limiter, and subsonic filter a full array of top-notch components that make all the difference in the purity that you hear.

This state of the art ribbon element enclosed by top grade Neodymium magnets boasts some of the latest ribbon microphone technologies from sE Electronics. sE Electronics has combined their traditional ribbon technology with some of the mechanical elements of their patented Voodoo microphone HF (High Frequency) extension technology to bring you a classic sounding ribbon mic with a gentle HF lift.
The sEX1R does not offer the full frequency response performance of the Voodoo VR1 / VR2 and the widely acclaimed sE Rupert Neve RNR1, but a hybrid of old and new ribbon technology which gives you all the natural beauty of the ribbon sound, but with more versatility and ease of use than the majority of ribbons on today's market.
The sE X1R also draws on the chassis and design elements of the hugely successful sE X1 Cardioid Condenser Microphone to bring you exceptional performance, and the hand-crafted capsule quality you expect from all sE mics, but at a fraction of the cost of other boutique brands.
The sE X1R really is the perfect ribbon mic for the first time project studio buyer, or a great addition of new character to your microphone collection.

The sE5 sets the new standard for small diaphragm microphones at its price, and is perfect for studio and live use.
The sE5 improves upon the high-quality performance of its predecessor - the popular sE4 - with a smooth, full-range frequency response and excellent transient handling. It is the perfect choice for recording drums, percussion, pianos and any stringed acoustic instrument. Finished in matte black, the sE5 features a cardioid polar pattern, 100Hz bass cut and -10/-20db pad switches. It also includes a custom shock mount so you’re ready to capture high quality recordings straight out of the box.
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The sE5's cardioid polar pattern delivers a clean and smooth on-axis response, with off-axis rejection that's essential when recording the source instrument in-situ among unwanted noise sources such as other instruments or room ambience.
100Hz Bass Cut
The sE5's 100Hz bass cut can be applied to decrease the level of proximity effect, which is typical behaviour in cardioid pattern microphones if placed very close to the sound source, or to isolate from low frequency rumble from other sources.
The two pad switches can be used if you're recording a very ‘hot’ or loud signal. For miking up loud sound sources such as drums or a guitar cabinet, the -10dB or -20dB settings will reduce the level output from the microphone to the connected microphone preamp, ensuring a high quality signal is delivered.
Matte Black Finish
The matte black finish minimises the level of attention drawn to the microphone when used on stage or in the studio, allowing it to blend into the background.
Includes Custom sE5 Shock Mount
Every sE5 includes a custom-designed shock mount in the box, which is essential in use to reduce the unwanted effects of vibration or knocks to the supporting microphone stand.
Need a pair? Purchase the matched pair and not only do you save money, but you also get a stereo bar and a flight case!
