An arsenal of the best gear that Neumann, Neve, Telefunken, TG, Manley, Sennheiser, Fairchild (to name a few) have produced over the past 60 years was used to create QUANTUM LEAP SPACES, along with the Sony DRE S777 sampling reverb and Meitner A-D converters. ATC monitors were positioned in the room/hall to emulate the real world sound projection properties of various instruments. So an impulse taken for a French horn was created by firing the sweep tones from the middle to left rear of the stage, backwards and slightly towards the floor. 1st violin section impulses were taken by firing a series of speakers at an angle towards the ceiling, just like a real section. A fifth speaker with the high end reduced was fired towards the floor to emulate the body of the violins. This same methodology was used to record reverbs for rock instruments in various LA studios. Because of this, the reverbs in QUANTUM LEAP SPACES have a fantastic balance of early reflections and room sound that really draws a dry instrument into the space, rather than the usual "sound plus reverb" result.

We've also added a video of the Piano Box GM Sound Module to towards the bottom of our PianoBox page. If you have MIDI files you would like to hear on the PianoBox, or if you have questions or would like to know more, please contact us.
The PianoBox is the perfect solution to latency problems. This is a common problem that causes a delay between when you play a key on a MIDI keyboard and when you hear the sound. In other words, if you are trying to record into Sibelius or Finale and the music you record doesn't line up with the existing music, it is likely due to latency - not your piano skills!
The reason this happens is that your computer is using a "software synth" for playback. In other words, it has to "think" about how to create the sound, then tell your soundcard to actually make the sound. Then, the soundcard itself may introduce some delay and it all adds up to make for a very frustrating experience!
The PianoBox solves this problem since it plays back MIDI from your keyboard or computer immediately without any delay or latency. No more frustration with the music not lining up when you record, plus the PianoBox sounds better than the built in sounds in your computer. You can also use the built in drum patterns for practicing, and it works with any keyboard with MIDI out.

As with the academic version of the full Pro Tools 9, the regular and academic versions are identical in every way - there is no difference between Pro Tools 9 MP Academic and Pro Tools 9 MP. (Well, the price is different, but that is all!)
Unlike the more expensive Pro Tools 9, Pro Tools MP 9 requires an M-Audio interface in order to work. Contact us if you need assistance in selecting an audio interface.

Here is what is on sale, while supplies last:
- UA-4FX audio interface - a great way to connect mics or guitars to your Mac or PC. With built in effects and Sonar LE, this is an amazing value!
- UM-3G - we will be sad when this is longer available, as it is really hard to find USB MIDI interfaces with more than one MIDI I/O. If you have more than one keyboard or sound module, this is the perfect solution.
- UA-25EX - this is a great sounding audio interface with heavy duty aluminum construction and an excellent software package.
