MusicTime & Encore from GVox - back in action!

I had a chance to speak with GVox at the NAMM show last week and was very impressed with their commitment and passion for easy to use notation software.  They've been releasing updates over the past few years and with their past financial problems well behind them, we expect even more great things to come.

MusicTime and Encore are two of the original music notation programs ever developed and they have many loyal followers who find that the programs are fast and easy to work with.  As an experiment, try downloading the demo of Sibelius, then the demo of Encore - after you've installed them, open them both, and time how long it takes until you can start writing music.  (My reaction?  Wow, I can't believe how fast Encore loads!)  Of course, load time alone shouldn't make the decision for you.  I love both programs, and it is important to choose the one that best suits your needs.

With the Encore Competitive Upgrade less than $100, we are starting to see lots of Sibelius and Finale users give Encore a try.  Encore can save MusicXML files so you can still open your work in Sibelius or Finale.  For less than $100 it is a great value and can save you a lot of time.

If you've used and loved MusicTime or Encore for years, now is the time to update.  With lots of new features, you can buy the MusicTime Deluxe Upgrade or Encore Upgrade and run either program on any version of Mac or Windows - including Windows 7.
